On the subject of a home and home series between Minnesota and Iowa State, some highlights:

Travis Hines (ISU reporter) is right and Marcus Fuller is wrong. The Gophers have nothing to gain from playing a home and home with Iowa State, except one more highly attended game every other year. Iowa is not fertile recruiting ground and we already get exposure to that state by playing Iowa every year. Plus (as Hines points out in another tweet), the Gophers wouldn't want Hoiberg to be able to tell Minnesota recruits that they would get to come home to the Barn every other year. If the Gophers are going to upgrade their non-conference schedule, a team from the East Coast (St John's? Georgetown?) or non B1G Midwest state (Kansas State? Missouri?) makes the most sense.
