Espn has a couple articles that are exposing recruiting a little bit more. One is a basketball article but I thought I would post in anyways because I thought they were interesting. Notice the Michigan mention in article 1.

I wish I had been good enough to experience this type of stuff as a high school recruit, but they don't offer this type of stuff D-2.

"On his trip to Alabama, Collins said he toured an empty Bryant-Denny Stadium with his parents just as part of the band marched through. Then, the coaches showed him a Crimson Tide jersey stamped with his No. 2."

Remind anyone of a cutout of a certain University of Miami left tackle?

What's the rule on that? Is a cutout forbidden, but a jersey with his number OK? It looks like a very similar situation.

I think the rule is that you aren't allowed to do anything peronalized. So no cut-outs, announcers over the PA's giving a mock pregame intro with your name, no names on the jersey, etc. Not positive, but I'm pretty sure. Thus, a number only (even if it is the kid's HS number) probably passes muster. If not, Bama will be self reporting a secondary violation.
