Injury Bug Hits Big Ten

Injury bug: There were a lot of key injuries this past Saturday, which means there's a lot to track this week. How severe is the injury to Michigan State OT Jack Conklin? Will Penn State running back Akeel Lynch play this weekend -- or can Saquon Barkley, whose Saturday injury seemed minor in comparison, completely take over? Michigan tailback De'Veon Smith expects to play -- but will he be at 100 percent? We're not even close to being finished, either. Minnesota's injury list is a mile long, and Jerry Kill said he's especially "concerned about" the knee injury to CB Briean Boddy-Calhoun. There are also question marks surrounding several Northwestern players, such as safety Godwin Igwebuike and left tackle Geoff Mogus. It could wind up being a big Saturday for the Big Ten backups.
