In-state Recruiting

Considering that Rivals has added new offers for him in the last few days (Wyoming and Toledo), and didn't add Wisconsin, I tend to not trust your sources.

His navy offer is not up yet either (I know navy doesn't give football scholarships)

Bjorklund could fit the type of player Coach Kill needs. Mobile and agile. And isn't Levine supposed to have 4.5 speed as a Safety? Kill wants speed and it could be right down the block.

Usually the Badgers recruiting sites are on top of everyone that gets an offer late in the game. They have not reported anything. It could be a gray shirt offer or a preferred walk on offer, who knows.

I wonder if it was a grayshirt. I will talk to my source again tonight and see if he was blowing smoke at me

Man, that kid is light on his feet! After watching that, I don't understand how he doesn't have a bunch of high major offers.

Doesn't hold his blocks. Probably doesn't know how to pass block (not his fault). Lacks ideal D-I strength. Looks as if he'd get handled by above average DT's.

All coachable things, but he's certainly not close to a finished product.

Okay I have the word from my source now. There was a Wisconsin Oline coach at rosemount high school last week. He did not get an offer from Wisconsin but he has been told by them and a couple other big ten schools that if they don't get thier top guys he will be one of the next to get an offer.

Also have been told that he really likes Toledo.
Also have been told by a former gopher that knows his game well that he'd be a 2 year starter in the big ten.

Dont know if I'm buying the two year starter bit, but then again he did play big ten football and I did not

Maybe Coach Kill can get him his Wisconsin offer by getting Marz to switch. Marz is a good HS center in basketball, so we know he's athletic, a good fit for Coach Kills system.

He doesn't have anywhere near ideal strength and he doesn't look to have any experience pass blocking. However, I thought he finished his blocks pretty well.

I think he'd end up at guard or center in the college game.

In-state kids for the most part just want to stay home, and play for a winning team. If we win, that will be enough to keep them.

Levine is really fast and he is a super tough kid. He played a ton up near the line of scrimmage, fighting off blocks and blitzing (run and the QB). I think the bigger question mark on him is that he played up near the line so often that there might be some questions about his coverage skills. However, the kid is tough, he can fly, he can tackle and he can even return kicks/punts.

NDSU has committed from twin cities:

Bjorklund would be a great get for NDSU, from what I am hearing they don't have a chance though.

Veldman seems like the kind of guy who we might not offer because he doesn't have huge speed, but I think would be a great player at NDSU.

Bjorklund is going to get a U offer. Kill is talking about wanting aggresive, quick lineman with some size (doesn't everyone?). With the amount that offense traps and pulls, I can't imagine Bjorklund wouldn't make sense here.

Looks like Bjorklund is NOW getting heavy interest from the Gophers, but it took until Kill got here to make that happen. I'm sure Kill knew all about Bjorklund while at N. Illinois. Bjorklund is visiting you guys in the near future and if I were to guess he will then become a Gopher. Imho the only hang up is if Wisconsin offers as well... could make things a lot more interesting.
