I played for a school in his class in Northern Michigan, and it's very, very difficult to get multiple committable Big Ten offers coming from that area and level. In the last 30 years my high school has produced one walk-on at Michigan at the P5 level, and that was a school that won multiple state titles and went to the playoffs almost every year - and faced Gaylord a lot of the time. Dude must be a stud.
