I'm probably in the minority, but Tom Izzo

His guys are all jumping in the portal, so we might hear a retirement soon.
Not ready to say that yet. Izzo has never struck me a quitter when things get tough.

2 of the 3 were pretty much expected, Tre was not.

If Coen Carr's name pops up in the portal, then I think anything's possible. Carr, Richardson (if he comes back), Fears, Kohler & Cooper are now the guts of that program. Anyone of those hit free agency, yikes.

He's 70 years old.

Anyone who would consider him a quitter at this point of his career if he chooses to retire would be a bit silly.

Maybe he just wants to be done with the rat race of what college basketball has become.

He won a Big Ten title, passed Bob Knight on the all-time conference wins list, and made the Elite 8. I wouldn't exactly label that "things get tough."

Maybe he wants to go out on top of the Big Ten.

(note - I'm not saying he'll retire, I would guess he'll be back. But I damn well won't say he's a quitter if he does retire.)

Do you think Izzo's successor is on the current staff (when the occasion arises)?

He follows me to every thread I go to........political, timberwolves, gophers.

I couldn't resist. That's on me.......LMAO
Don’t flatter yourself, fool. Your stupidity sticks out like a sore thumb wherever you go. We’re now on page three of people explaining your original thought here was a joke.

I think there's only 6 active NCAA D1 Coaches with a National Championship.

1 coaches in East Lansing. That ain't meh.

I'm flattering myself alot here.

Izzo just lost a 5 star and 4 star to the portal, and does a lot of what he does with little talent. LMAO

Meh

No.

The biggest mistake MSU could make is automatically hire someone from the Izzo tree. His coaching tree hasn’t done all that great. I think (hope) Izzo is smart enough to realize that. When he decides to hang it up, MSU will likely be the plum job on the market. They can’t screw it up.

It worked in the transition from Heathcote….

It’s almost unfathomable to see someone completely separate on the bench at MSU. You’re probably right that the MSU-connected coaches aren’t top choices, but fit is non-trivial. Duke seems to have survived with one of their own who didn’t have an obvious resume.
