Anyone still think this is the same defense as last year before the Smith firing? Great showing all the way around. Illinois is a bad team but it is still impressive to hold any big ten team to just 3 points (yes I know they scored 17, but 14 of those are on the offense).

Considering Purdue had their backup QB, lost their best player, and had injury issues entering the game - I might think IL is the best team we have played all year. We started slow then rolled. Really excited!

We are also a lot better with Kamal Martin out there. He is, by far, our best linebacker in space.
