Is this really needed? We all know the answer, and it's not even close.

If it is just one game, yes. However, if they beat TCU and that creates a confidence that impacts the rest of the season, I'll take that.

Yes, it is definitely needed. Valentines Day has made us soft. We need to keep Gopherhole posters focused.

I'm loving the fact that we're setting our goals high - TCU & (t)OSU. Beating one or both puts us on the map. That would be big.

As I've stated on here before, my only mark of success for the 2015 season is a win over Wisconsin. That's how overdue it feels and how much my hate has boiled over.

Beat TCU sets up the distinct possibility of a top 10 ranking and a possible 8-0 start. I'll take several weeks of that versus the Ax, no matter how long it's been.

^^^ seriously? Not only is WI the Axe Game but it basically counts as 2 for purposes of the West - we need the tiebreaker over them to think about winning the division

tOSU. We need to really be hitting our stride going into conference play and beating them would be a good warm up for the B1G Championship, Bowl Season and the playoffs. Plus they are the Champs and beating them really makes a statement.

Fair point, but several weeks undefeated/in the Top 10/play-off discussion would be the most attention this program has gotten in decades. Even more than an appearance and probable loss in the B1G championship would bring.

I would rather have to gophers lose all three and take a trade for going 9-0 over the rest.

If the gophers finish 10-2 I would take the win against wisconsin because it wins them the west. If the gophers beat tcu or Ohio state and then lost to wisconsin it would be a major disappointment.

Not sure if serious?

Would you take a trade of losing those three in exchange for a guaruntee of the other nine?
Next year I would.

That was the point I was trying to make and made poorly.

It'd be better to lose all 3 of those and go 9-3 then steal one and go 8-4 or 7-5.

I would take that too.

Any answer other than WI is just wrong. That simple.

If you guaranteed me that the Gophs would lose all 3 games listed, go 9-3 and WIN A BOWL GAME, I would take that deal in a heartbeat. As much as I would like to see the Gophs beat WI, I think the #1 goal for 2015 is to win a Bowl Game. Everything else is tied for 2nd place.

Winning a bowl game ends the season on a positive note (going into the final stage of recruiting), and it gets the Bowl Game Monkey off Kill's back. Believe me, every year that Kill doesn't win a bowl game, that freakin' Monkey is getting bigger. He's gone from Son of Kong to Mighty Joe Young. Another loss and he'll be up there with Konga. (points if you get the movie references)

Don't get me wrong, I hate Wisconsin. But I'll take a win over Ohio State. Overall we are 7-44 against them, 13.7%. But since we beat them in 1966, we are 2-36 against them for a 5.26 winning percent. I think that statisticians would refer to Gopher victories vs. OSU as "rare events." Victories over them should be savored.

And as expected, 85% know the correct answer. Just like last time. And the time before that.

It's sad that 15% of voters have an intellectual disability.

Are you impressed with my PCness?

I believe if we win the TCU game then the Becky game is a given to win. OSU is OSU and it is at their house. Becky travels here and I beleive its a magical season if we beat TCU everything else will fall into place

This is a stupid question...only one of these games gets us our most prized rivalry trophy.

Hate Wisconsin obviously, but sorry- give me a victory over the defending national champs in their house. Holy freaking cow, that would be absolutely epic.

Beat the Red Devils to the East first and then beat the Dicks from Columbus in the Championship game. Not sure we can beat THE's twice.

I think it would be more epic to beat them in Indy. Although it would be hard to do that if we go 1-11.

There isn't a wrong answer here.

Beat TCU (at home) to start the season. TCU will be a top three team coming in. Great, really great, way to start the season.

Beat Ohio State at their house. Defending Champs. Big Ten favorites again... Hard to argue that that wouldn't be the most impressive win of the three.

Beat Becky (Home). Everyone here hates Becky and we have sucked against them for too long. Plus, it would be a great way to end the regular season.

I'll take any one of them.

Sconnie. Not only are we long overdue for the axe, but that game may also decide the Big Ten West.

On a related note. Becky early line against Bama. -13. Me thinks Saban after crapping the bed against Ohio State will take no prisoners. This might be a game where you bet the house. Wisconsin has no quarterback and Melvin the "___" is gone.

According to Gopher Sports, the all-time series with Wisconsin is tied 58-58-8 (thought it was still one game up for us... guess not?). If we lose to them they take the all-time series lead and a 12 year winning streak.
