I would think that would limit what you can do with Streveler. Watching Streveler in the spring and also based on his reputation coming in, he is much more of a runner than a thrower. In fact, it does not appear that he has a big arm. However, how much of a risk would you want to take with him running knowing that there really is no back-up?

Live dangerously: a quarterback can NOT be protected in a game situation. You can not put a yellow, red, green, blue or pink scrimmage vest over his jersey and tell the defense: "...no contact allowed..."

Put the one in who is healthy and gives the team the best chance to win. And then: "...PLAY BALL..."

When I first read this, I thought you were trying to be funny by referring to Max Shortell.

No, you obviously haven't read the post that lays it all out there and then some. My favorite post here in awhile.

That being said, I'll be surprised/disappointed if we don't bring in a juco or grad transfer QB.

I don't think we need a JUCO QB as much as we need 3 consecutive years without a QB transferring. Really tough to maintain depth when 2 former starters transfer in 3 years.
