Either Chryst or Kill will lead me to dump my two and my buddy who sits with me's two. You didn't get Leach or Belotti, and you instead settled on some retreads. I have no need to fund those kind of decisions. I'll work on keeping Big Ten Network alive instead...
Wouldn't you rather have Gopher fans in the seats? :\Am I worried about ticket sales? No. Here's why:
Home games against wisky, Iowa, NDSU, Nebraska.
Scalpers will be all over that. Those away fans will be all over that.
I wonder what would end up being lower: attendance or Kill's white blood cell count?

So tell us. Who turned the Gophers down which may cause us to settle on some retreads? Harbaugh? Hoke? Peterson? Belotti? I think Bruininks nixed Leach long ago.
We may never know.
I have to believe they will hire the best available candidate based on their criteria.
My bad. I meant retreads in terms of the same sort of coaches we always hire. Guy's that had some limited success at smaller schools or guys who have no experience of ever running an entire program. Neither excite me.

I completely agree Bayfield. My only point is I wish they'd have done whatever it took to do better. To get those tier 1 guys. I know it is a huge financial comittment, but I think a winning program here would payoff bigtime. The new stadium is only a money maker if you get fans to the games. This is not the point to go soft and take another chance. You just find the right coach and make him an offer he can't refuse.
Coach Kill, Edsall types may have been our best options.
