I wonder if Kaler/U are happy with Tubby's level of engagement

We don't have Trevor or Mo, but they expected to. That would make one heck of a difference. Snake bitten!

Agree, LittleBboy. One of them could have served as player-coach given Tubby's indifference!!!

Tubby sure doesn't look like he even wants to be out there anymore. Very disheartening. That's not a good sign coming from your supposed leader. It doesn't look good to the players, assistant coaches, fans, recruits, and potential practice facility donors.

I will never understand the players giving up like that either. If you can't get up for a Big Ten game, then there is something wrong with you. Have pride in yourself and your teammates. Even if you can't stand Tubby, there's no excuse for not playing hard in my mind.

If no extension offered, what will Tubby do? I say he leaves. He won't accept it.

+1 well said. Some guys did show up. It's disappointing others didn't.

If the U decided not to offer the extension, I think that would be the best thing for both sides. Either the Kaler and the U believes in him or they don't. I think being in limbo next year would be the worst thing to do.

I agree, Uncertainty right now would be terrible for the future. If Tubby wants to accept no extension, let it play out next year. I hope it doesn't come to that.

We agree on something, never thought I'd see that. ;)

I am not really a bad guy. I am just very sure Tubby is not the man for this program. If they extend him, it will set the program back and I do not want that. I know some disagree and that is fine, as long as they are passionate for the team and not just the coach. I only started acting like a dick when others started personally attacking me.

See, when you post like this things go just fine. I really don't think you are a bad guy (as u said u weren't below) but the goal here is to share opinions, and when u do it this way it makes conversation go much better and allows it to continue.

After reading your post here, I'd like to apologize for confusing you with the anti-Tubby 'Holers who literally appear to have no motive other than to obnoxiously shove the "I told you so" approach down the throat of others.

Sometimes it's tough to distinguish between those who have the best interests of the Gophers in mind and those who only care about being right.

Most of us are here because we share a passion. We can disagree with things, and it can really escalate when things have gone as bad as they have the past 13 months or so. I think we're probably all guilty of acting childish at times, and I have no problem admitting I have. Ultimately, most of us want the same thing: a successful program.
