I really thought this year was different.

Coleman was not a 3pt shooter in high school either. He mostly scored driving and in the open court. Look at the players Tubby has recruited they are athletes who need to run. They need to force turnovers. Think Louisville, florida, old Kentucky style. We are stuck in half court basketball. Will we be able to thrive in the big ten with this style realizing we cannot recruit the athletes who are also highly skilled to run this (top 50 ) type players? Would we be better off with an Iowa type team considering the majority of mn guys are less athletic but higher skilled comming out? Serious question.

All I can say is that, if we need more shooters, this area produces plenty of them. How many times do we have to watch Jon Bryant help Wisconsin to the Final Four or Jake Sullivan light it up at ISU or...the list goes on. Even Clem passed up Sullivan and Troy Bell and others because they he didn't think they were athletic or dynamic enough to succeed in the Big Ten. And I won't even pick the Woodside or Wolters scabs.
