You are being ridiculed for the nature of your post, not the nature of our fans. If you expected to be ridiculed (ie, your post made people angry) then why post it? You gave no information, and you haven't been around long enough to build any credibility.
 

Maybe we can make this thread somewhat productive. Can you give any insight to when the coach hiring may be announced. Sooner/Later?

The fact that Colorado is getting closer and closer to firing their coach is probably going push the schedule a bit. For better or worse.

I think the desirability of the U job and the CU job are quite comparable. If we wait too long, we will be in direct competition with them.... unless they are deciding to hire a completely different sort of guy than us. ESPN rumors says that fans are already pining for Bellotti and Leach. Calhoun is also a likely candidate, if CU wants to steal another coach from Air Force.
 

If Joe has inside information, he is best to keep it to himself. Think what would happened if a rumor blew up here and the media started contacting the rumored candidate. One thing I know for sure is we have a long wait ahead of us.
 

I was listening to Sid and Dave when Joel Maturi came on. The song being played was "Wait Till the Midnight Hour". Precious.

The reason he did it are one of these two options:

1. He's telling the truth (I doubt it, but to be honest, I kind of like these posts for the small chance he's right!)

2. The U does make a big hire in the next couple of weeks, and he can say "I told you so!" weather he really knew or not.
 

I don't mind these posts if they actually say a name, I don't mind actual coaching gossip.

Now, lets suppose that this actually is the truth, that somehow this guy got an inside scoop, why wouldn't he tell? Do you think in the history of college football that a coaching deal has fallen through because it got out on a message board? Of course not...

Now, he could say that he wouldn't want to throw his "source" down the river, but is he really guessing that he and his source are the only people who know of this suppossed hiring? C'mon...

It's BS.

It's either a pitiful adult version of "I know something you don't know" or it is an attempt to grab some attention.
 

Even if he had actually heard a rumor, without telling us what the rumor was, it is utterly worthless. Tell us the name or stay quiet about it.
 

How about this Crazy Joe

Give us three names, one of them being the man you heard, and we can decide if we really like each of these names.....I am sure that if we will "really like it", the name has already been put out there...so humor us will you?
