how would you grade the kill hire?

D+...the same grade I gave Brewster when he was hired. Kill is the anti Brewster. Brewster could somewhat recruit but he couldn't coach. Kill probably is a good coach but he wont be able to recruit. We needed someone who could do both in order to win. Also, there is no buzz with this. People are going to get rid of their season tickets in droves. By the way, I give Maturi an F and think he should be fired for not getting a better hire and saying stupid things that led us to believe that we would get someone better. Kill will bring us to .500 eventually. I can't wait to start the fire Maturi chant at the next Gopher hockey game.

What makes you think he can't recruit?

Recruit rankings mean little, Coach Kill had some pretty poorly ranked classes yet ended up in the top 25 this year. So, the classes couldn't be as bad as they were made to sound.

Also, recruiting to a BCS school in the Big Ten with a new stadium is probably going to be a lot easier than recruiting for NI.

It will be interesting to see how his southern good ol' boy charm plays this far north.
