This was the question in a different thread and the vast majority agreed it did matter how the Gophers looked in beating South Dakota.

If the Gophers in fact pull out the win I wanna see how this performance is sugar-coated by the board. I assume the first exucse will be looking ahead to USC?

yea, i got ripped for saying the gophers should blow this team out. wonder what kind of hate these delusional people will spill on me if the gophers come back and win by like 7.
Good thing minnesota wasn't playing South Dakota State or North Dakota State. Could have been a brutal beating. NDSU beats Kansas and holds them to 3 points. Today they have 28 points and are beating Georgia Tech...i smell a buyout coming for the future NDSU Minnesota game

It's how you lose that matters....

that was....from the technical view, a high school defense. Cosgrove has no business in big time football, and yet Brewster saw fit to hire him.
