How much is the University of Minnesota paying athletes? They refuse to say.

Sure, like I said, lawyers will be able to fashion arguments about disclosing specific payments to individuals, but that's not all they are refusing to disclose. They also want to withhold how much is going to each program. That doesn't implicate student privacy laws and, as I understand it, the U isn't claiming that it does.
I would like the rules and/or law to force all schools to disclose how much they're allocating to each sport for House settlement money.

Would you feel differently if you were a student being charged a fee to pay the athletes receiving rev sharing?
No because that fee is a fraction of the absurd amount of tuition that is already being paid. If the difference is being in debt for 40 years instead of 39 who the fuck cares?

I personally think it should be against the rules to distribute House settlement money to athletes if the money doesn't actually come from real athletics revenue. That means gameday revenues and TV deal revenues.

Student fees shouldn't be allowed to pay for them.

Granted that they'll just shuffle money around and use the student fees to pay for something else in the department.
