We need a chili meter at the top of the football discussion board (my weekly plea). My chili was uncharacteristically cool leading into last week's win against Purdue. I am pleased to say that the temp is rising again. I chose habanero for this week.

I remember the weekly chili poll. It was fun until the Brewster teams went off the cliff.

The Brewster years seem like a bad dream now, but who among us wasn't pumped in 2008 when this team was at 7-1? We didn't know yet that Illinois was terrible and it is hard to ignore 7-1 when the team had just gone 1-11 the prior year. Given perfect 20/20 hind sight, it is easy to assume Brewster's Gophers were going to decline no matter what. However, it is now fun to speculate where 2008 would have gone if that Northwestern game had ended with the Gophers on top.
