Solich is the coach. They beat Marshall and Marshall beat Purdue, though comparative scores don't always mean much. Look like a decent team, though.
 

If this gophers team is building towards a championship, losing to Ohio would be a pretty horrible loss (I think they beat Ohio)
 

Ohio wins by three-four scores if the offense plays like yesterday. They are a top MAC team.
 

Just checked, the Bobcats are 3-0 ; beating Idaho, Marshall, and SE Louisiana. They held Marshall to 10 points. Frank Solich coached at Nebraska and left because of personal issues. The guy can coach and will give the Gophers all sorts of different reads on the defensive side. They will blitz their corners and LB's. They basically run the same type of offense the Gophers do.

If TCU beats us by one score, why would you see Ohio getting even 3-4 scores against our defense? Yes, if our offense doesn't improve no game is a guarantee, I just done see an Ohio scoring that much against us.

One touchdown should be enough to beat us.

Solich was fired despite winning nine games that season. I think his big problem was following a legend, Dr. Tom. The coaches since haven't done any better and the new one is 1-2.
 

Solich had a 7-7 season. Bo P never had a .500 season.

I think we win. I think we win ugly. 17-7 kind of game. I doubt we break 30 and even good defenses have a hard time holding teams under 14 at times.

This was stupid the first time it was said, and it's still stupid now. Our defense is top notch. Unless you think our defense is going to forget how to run and tackle or our offense is going to score a bunch of own goals, how does this make sense?
 

Ohio is a good team, they have a lot of kids that had potential to be Big 10 conference players and come from a football rich state. Ohio is not like the other times that we have played them, they have better overall skill position players than in the past and can make some plays. They are not a MAC conference patsy.
To me they like to run the ball and run similar plays and sets on offense to the Gophers at least the Gophers offense we have known. This is going to be a good football game, if people get riled up if we only win by 1 or 3 they will be wrong. Gophers need a win and they need the defense to create field position and turnovers. I'm hoping we get Travis and Ace Rogers back this week because we will need them to make plays and create a couple turnovers. Like I said I am excited for the game Saturday, this will be the most Big 10 conference like opponent we face in the non-conference schedule and the Gophers need a boost as well as a good test. Looking forward to the game on Saturday and all of the homecoming stuff too.
