With all the injuries on the O-Line, it's conceivable that Bak could enter next season as the most experienced Guard the Gophers have.

He wasn't a starter last year, but due to injuries he played a LOT, and started most of the games later in the Big Ten schedule.

He wasn't a starter this year, but already he's been forced to start more than half the games they've played already (if I recall correctly).

So how good is he? And does he parlay all that experience next year into a starting position? He could enter next season with more PT/experience than Tommy O.

For better or worse, the Gophers are going to enter next year with a LOT of players who have logged significant minutes on the field, in Big Ten action. It'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out next spring/fall.

Imagine how many injuries we would have if we didn't the best S&C coach in the country!

You're wrong Bak started three games last year.

He said that Bak started games last year. I think it's pretty easy to deduce that the OP meant that when our OL is healthy, Bak isn't a starter.

I actually think Bak has a really good chance at starting next season. It's tough for him because two of our best linemen are Epping and Olson. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Epping moves back to C and the guards are Olson and Bak.

Keep in mind that Bjorklund is also injured and was the first guard off the bench when I believe Mottla was dinged up (Epping moved to C). He was really impressive early in the year.

Bobeck (OSU transfer) will be starting C next year.
