Think the scout is joking, but there is some merit in taking quick shots, vs. forcing in passes. I'm a proponent of doing that for the first five possessions to make sure we have shots only vs. turnovers. One pass and a shot for the first 3 minutes. If you look at most of our production in the first 3 minutes it is usually poor from a scoring standpoint.
This strategy makes sense for all levels of basketball for big games when people are nervous.
