How are the highschool prospects in Minnesota looking?

Maybe you can get together with Pervy Uncle Don to check out the high school cheerleaders. After all, the thread was about Minnesota high school prospects. In case you didn't know, some high schoolers are 18 when they graduate. But, in your mind, I guess that makes it okay.

I take it you just ignored my post? It seems to me to be the norm to have older guys come to games where girls that are good looking (normally) are dancing.

What is the title of the thread? I see nothing about college in there with respect to the "Scouting" reference. Apparently, when Pervy Uncle Don isn't playing his holier than thou card on GH, he is at the local high school games scouting the cheerleaders. I don't know how long you have been a member, but he spent a lot of time stalking Nadine early on, so it seems like a pattern.

Maybe you should learn a little reading comprehension then. In the link, he says the cheerleaders were in MOORHEAD and wearing CONCORDIA COLLEGE clothing. Concordia College is in Moorhead, so it would be a safe assumption that the girls go to Concordia College, would it not?

No, it doesn't. It doesn't matter one iota how tall people say he is. What matters is how tall he really is. In shoes. On the court.

And even that matters far less than how good of a player he is. Charles Barkley was probably 6'4" in his playing days and Dwight Howard is close to 7', but give me Barkley any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

It doesn't matter how tall he is in bare feet. Kevin Love has never in his life garnered an official rebound in bare feet.

Fine lets measure people in shoes. Barkley was 6'4 and 3/4 inches, I read his book, without shoes. 6'6" in shoes. Dwight was 6'10" at the nba combine. He may have grown. So he's probably 6'11" to 7' in shoes. If you think Barkley is half the defensive player Dwight is we can stop having a conversation.

Yes, it absolutely is okay. There is nothing wrong, legally, morally, ethically, or otherwise, with "checking out" 18 year old girls, even if they are in HS. Unless, of course, you are a HS teacher. And, before you play that card, yes, I have a daughter, so don't lecture me on how to feel about it.

jamalo, you've got to get a grip. Some of your recent posts on this thread are beginning to sound.....well..... a little pervy. A couple of points to consider: 1) "checking out" cheerleaders is what you are supposed to do. That's why they bound up between the fans and whatever sports event is being watched and strut (or in the case of last night's Gopher squad - stumble) thru their stuff. 2) Almost ALL high schoolers are 18 when they graduate (although the ones that are 20-21 when they graduate are more fun to be around). Oh, and about Pervy Uncle Don, he really wasn't "stalking" Nadine early on, he was "courting" her. I understand they are now a couple, so I think you may owe Pervy Uncle Don an apology. Cheers.

I'm still waiting to hear the part where checking out 18-year-old girls is in any way wrong, from a legal, moral, ethical, or any other standpoint you can think of (current HS teachers excepted).

You are at least correct on the "legally" part. The morally/ethically part would depend upon who you asked. If you go knock on the door of the guy who lives in the trailer next to you, he'll probably agree with your point of view. I live in a split-level house that my wife and I own, but thanks for the unnecessary and unrelated insult. What does that have to do with anything? If you must know, I did live in a trailer house with my family from the time I was 7 until I was 17. Do you have a f*cking problem with that?

I guarantee you that any ethics teacher anywhere on earth would say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with lusting after/pursuing a relationship with another legal adult, regardless of your age. I'm not sure why you're so hung up on this, but people get married to 18-year-olds every day in every corner of planet Earth.

As to "Tyus," you mean Tyus Jones or Mike Tyus? I saw Tyus Jones and seeing as he's a sophomore, I'm not thinking where he goes next level just yet. Maybe the NBA? Seriously, right now I want Siyani Chambers handling the ball for my team ahead of Tyus. I don't mean that as a criticism, Chambers is 1 of the 4 best players in the state. Maybe Tyus is #5.

A while back one of the ESPN analysts said Tyus would RIGHT NOW be the #2 point guard in either the 2012 or 2013 classes.

Well, of course, if you tell an ESPN talking head that he's got to vamp for 30 seconds about Tyus Jones or any other athlete, he's gonna say something really strong about him. Otherwise people are going to be tuning in somebody else who does. There's a reason why there's so many grains of salt in this world.
