We've seen what anthracite can do....but how about Taconite?

I feel like low grade Iron Ore hasn't really been explored yet in terms of uniform color scheme...Figured we could move away from coal and give something a little more Minnesotan a try.

Well at least oxidized taconite does give it a maroonish hue.

That's a bona fide idea and I like the way you think. I will say this, however; recent test drillings have reported significant Gold findings along the Vermilion Iron Range. Once PolyMet and other companies get squared away with new mines, Minny will be better known for Gold than iron. I've always been Good with the Gold uniforms and I don't want to switch...particularly now!

Iron ore would significantly weigh our players down, therefore making our break to the football even slower.
