HOLE POLL: Who will Coach Kill's first big upset be against?

I voted for USC.. but wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen to regain the Jug.

Of the five games in the poll. I would rank their likelihood
1) USC (simply because they are an average team and the team will be very up for this game)
2) Iowa (could be mediocre next year)
3) Wisconsin (have to replace their QB and rivalry games are always tough)
4) Nebraksa (favorites to win the division next year)
5) Michigan (if Robinson is healthy they will have one of the top offensive teams in the nation, if their defense has a pulse they will contend in the Big ten)...have this ranked as tougher than Nebraska only because it is on the road.

I predicted 8-5 for this year, so I realize that I look at things through maroon colored glasses, BUT... We saw this team dramatically improve under only 6 weeks (5 games) of competent leadership. After spring ball and fall camp I think this team will be a middle of the pack B10 team. We will beat USC to start the Kill regime. we will go 4-0 in the NC portion of our schedule. we will be competitive in every game.

I'll have what he's having.

I'm a bad poll taker. I thought it would be USC, but I voted for what I wanted: Run up the score on that thug from Wisconsin.

#1...Keep Floyd.

#2...Kick Wisky's asses.

One thing at a time.

Would love to beat USC, would obviously love to win either or preferably both rivalry games as well as the Jug, but honestly my #1 wish as of right now would be to welcome Nebraska to the Big Ten with a resounding defeat at TCF. I've still got the taste of 84-13 in my mouth, and that's a hard one to get rid of.

I wish it would be Michigan but more than likely it will be against the rebuilding iowa squad

I voted for USC. This season, they were a team begging for the Gophers to beat them. Unfortunately, poor tackling on defense and uninspired play calling on offense got in the way. Next season, I see Kill's Gophers as being very fundamentally sound and I don't think USC has hit the bottom yet.

Watch out Spartans

I see Coach Kill leading the Gophers to a big upset at Michigan State in 2011. I may be crazy -- picking a game against a likely ranked team on the road -- but I've got a hunch. I have a feeling that if this year's team was just a little more squared away and disciplined, they could've squeaked out another couple of victories.

NDSU will be coming off a PLAYOFF run, so it would be an upset.

Delusion at its finest. Gotta love it.

Why don't you spout some more of your made-up stats?

Ummm....considering how the Gophers did last season, it wouldn't really be considered an upset if NDSU won.

Granted, with Kill running the show now I think it would be more of a surprise. A lost to NDSU under Brewster wasn't totally unexpected.

Ummm....yes, a I-AA team defeating a BCS team is always an upset. Period. This cannot be argued against. Most (all?) casinos don't even offer a betting line on these games.

Speak for yourself. Considering we were 6-0 against them, with some of those contests being comically lopsided, a "lost" was most certainly unexpected.

It also won't ever happen again. Feel free to bookmark this post and reference it on Sept. 24.

I'm guessing and hoping the Little Brown Jug comes back to MN for our first upset win of 2011:)

Oh, It will happen again. Yes, we will be referencing it on Sept. 24, 25, 26, 27,.................:)

What you will be referencing on these days is post after post of Bison fans complaining about how the Gophers ran the score up. Enjoy the 2007 win, the Brewster era is over.

Oh Relax.

NDSU will be rated #1, #2 when they play Gophers next year, Kill has lost to us before, he knows.

4 Minnesota starters as freshman on NDSU's team with a playoff run in them, its gonna be a great great game next year.
