We are doing a great job of making other coaches richer! Oh well. #OnToTheNextOne

Want a raise? Throw your name out as a candidate for the U of M coaching position!

Hoiberg was never in play, this was Hoiberg's agent playing Doogie like the fool he is.

This isn't shocking, this is exactly how we all thought it would play out.

There was 0% chance that Hoiberg was going to leave ISU, yet, he was able to squeeze some money out of it because of our "journalists".

At least Teague's offers are good enough to force the coach's current school to pony up to ensure keeping them.

Teague and Flip agreed to a deal on Sunday night. They agreed to hold off announcing it until they got all of their colleagues hefty raises first.

So if Flip declines where does Teague go from there?

I thought it would take until at least tomorrow to hear reports of an extension/raise. Teague must be offering quite the package.

I wonder if there's a stat for keeping track of the most number of raises garnered under pressure from one single coaching search. If there is, let's not break it.

Good for Fred....from afar seems like a good thing happened for a good guy. I can't even say 'move on' because though he seems like a good coach, I don't think N'Woody'T suspected he was a realistic candidate anyway. Congrats Cyclones!

Now Fred is not only the highest paid state employee in Iowa, but the highest paid person - period.

Don't you see guys. Teague's plan is to bankrupt everyone else and assert basketball dominance thereafter.

My guess is Teague is still talking to his #2 choice. I doubt he ever talked to Hoiberg. The agent told a few media types (and doogie) and they ran with it, thus a big raise. Well played Mr Agent.

Or maybe since the common perception is that nobody could possibly entice four and five star kids to MN, he's exchanging contract assistance for recruiting favors owed down the line.

This is exactly what happened.

Teague wouldn't have been doing his due diligence if he didn't ask Fred, but Fred wasn't ever coming here and we've already known it.

We probably gave quick runs at Shaka and Stevens.

That's what a good one is worth the cut. Show me the mon-aye!
