Highest Graded Returning Big Ten Cornerbacks🔒 (3. Jaylen Bowden)

The defensive secondary has been the program's best unit for over 10 years and looks to remain on top in 2025

Does anyone have insight on how good or bad PFF College is?
As Gopher fans, we tend to gripe a lot about how the team is treated by the media and sports analysts, but from what I've witnessed on an informal basis, PFF has been pro-Gopher in a lot of its statements. They seem to like what Fleck has been doing and tend to rank Gopher players higher than in other outlets.

No idea, but I still remember how highly rated they had BSF and then he had the season where he batted like 3 balls up for interceptions. My hunch is that they are good to an approximation, much like the high school recruit ratings.

How is he rated higher than Zaquan Bryan or any other returning starter in the Big Ten, especially coming from an HBCU? No disrespect to HBCUs or to Bowden, but the level of football just isn’t the same. My daughter dances for an HBCU and honestly I dread going to the games because they aren’t that exciting. Also, am I missing something? It clearly says returning cornerbacks. Wouldn’t that mean you had to actually play in the Big Ten last year?

I'd assume the rating is based on data from last year, maybe not adjusted for quality of competition

Not many players can catch an off target 100 mile per hour ball. Yeah, I exaggerated just a little. 😉

I remember that as well. I think he was the 2nd-highest rated draft-eligible (my aging brain is foggy, but if it wasn't 2nd, it was Top 5) TE in PFF's rankings going into the college season.
