Here is why Gray didn't redshirt

by those stats, dpod it's quite easy to take exception to the use of words like unquestionably. to me they're in the same barrel of pickles.

I never said that you said Weber is having a good year.

It's a simple question, really. Two parts.

Part 1. Terrelle Pryor is having an awful season.

Part 2. Weber's is unquestionably worse. Therefore, what do you call Weber's?

It's not rocket science. Please just answer the question.

You don't get it. You initially said that Pryor was having a "far, far, far better season" than Weber. I called you on it and proved it wasn't true. I never said Weber was having a better season than Pryor, and cannot think of why you can't understand this unless you just like baiting people with adversarial arguments.

I think we'll both agree that they are nearly equally bad at passing, but Pryor is having more success running. Weber has -27 yards, while Pryor has 367. So yes, Weber is having a worse season than Pryor, but not far, far, far worse.

Interesting thoughts: Pryor is in his second year of the same offense. Pryor has better talent around him. Most people are more disappointed in Pryor's season then Weber's.

The stats don't reflect Pryor have a "far, far, far better season than Weber." These are the stats and they look very similar. So if Weber is having a bad year, isn't Pryor doing about the same:

Stats through last weekend's game:
You "forgot" to include rushing stats (I see now that you eventually referenced that above):
Code:
Player ATT YDS AVG LNG TD
Pryor 86 631 4.5 38 6
Weber 32 -27 -0.8 10 1
All things considered that's a lot better production per play when both rushing and passing are factored.

you just don't know when to quit, do you?

Please explain to me, i'm batman, how Weber, by any measure (including statistically, overall of course), is having a better season than Pryor. Thanks in advance.

And WAGopher, thank you, again, for not answering a simple question. I'd agree that my characterization was a little hyperbolic, but you're just quibbling over semantics.

It's no worse than your exaggeration that Pryor is having an "awful season". By the relative standards of what Pryor was expected to do coming in as a freshman, and what Ohio St.'s typical annual standards, yes, it's quite substandard.

Pryor ranks 53rd in the NCAA in total offense. He ranks 63rd in passing efficiency. He ranks 85th in passing yards per game. In those same three categories, Weber ranks: 82nd; 88th; and 62nd. I'd also mention that Weber has made 32 career starts, while Pryor has made 16.

Ohio State is T-2nd in the Big Ten, and Minnesota is T-5th. Ohio State's opponents' combined record is 26-21 (.553), and Minnesota's is 27-20 (.574), meaning they've played virtually identical schedules.

So, I'll pose the question a third time, this time in a slightly different fashion, in hopes that you'll finally answer it:

"Please describe, in three words or less, the season that Adam Weber is having."

Again, thanks in advance.

dpodoll68 I've already answered your question. Just scroll up to post #33 and read the last paragraph.
