Help - Can I Carry In to McNamara Center?

I don't have a tailgate spot, so I plant to go the McNamara plaza area. Can I carry in my own beverage? Do they have security or check bags?

I doubt it, ASIA security as you walk in.

We brought a grocery bag of beverages in before the Cal game. Get there early and there isn't necessarily a security guard at every entrance. And once we got em in the Police and everyone inside wasn't opposed to us having our drinks.

Did security see your beverages? I don't want to break the rules, but I prefer to make a bloody mary and walk from the ramp vs. buying beer at the McNamara center.

We drank our beers straight from the cans and watched security walk right by us. They saw my beverage for sure. However, I don't know if it was because of my good looks that they decided not to do anything.

They will check from time to time. I have seen people told to put their food down or eat it before they were allowed in. Bring in plastic bottles of Mich Golden and you are golden. Cans of beer are not sold there.
