It's once again time to share the many reasons why we hate the Huns from the wasteland to our south. Our season has been a train wreck and we probably won't win, but that shouldn't keep us from having a good laugh at the expense of people who willingly live in the abject penury of the godforsaken state of Iowa. I'll start us off with an oldie, but a goodie.

While this isn't a reason to hate Iowegians, it's pretty easy to feel nothing but contempt toward the fat, tub of margarine "rapper" in this clip. He walks us through the affluent streets of downtown Des Moines, makes it rain with the $20 bills he got from selling the title to his 1982 El Camino and wears an Iowa sweatshirt that fits him like a sausage casing. Enjoy:

Reciprocity is why I hate Iowa

While I have no actual knowledge of why there is no reciprocity between the fine educational institutions of my state and the glorified high schools they call universities in the state of Iowa, it still bothers me.

My son (4 years old) is a resident of the state of Iowa. As a result, I would have to pay out of state tuition for him to attend an actual institution of higher learning such as the University of Minnesota. Which means, if he does end up going to college at a state institution he will end up, most likely, at his mother's alma mater.

I not only have to live with the fact that my Son's mother is encouraging him to be a Hawkeye fan, I also have to eventually support whatever he decides.

Long story short I want my son to go to a Division 1 institution where he can enjoy Division 1 athletics, just as I have. I am left to choose between U of I and ISU. We all want what is best for our children right? So does that mean I should support him becoming a Hawkeye so as to not have to deal with the putridity of Ames and the Cyclones?

This is why I hate the University of Iowa, I fear that in 14 years I will have a University of Iowa Dad sweatshirt, and due to the love and respect and pride I have in my son, I would grudingly be wearing it.

Every time you talk to him, just tell him that you love him, no matter what, and God hates Iowa.

A little Iowa joke to start out the week.

Q: Why don't they have ice cubes at Iowa football games anymore?
A: The student that knew the recipe graduated.

Maybe you shouldn't be such a dovchebag that your wife leaves you and takes your little brat out of state.

Just a thought.

Your right. The smart move is to marry a woman from Iowa, become a Hawkeye fan, and live in the state of Iowa. Then, when the two of you attend an away game she can sneak off to the bathroom and drunkenly raw-dawg a total stranger.

So classy.
