I think there is a good chance that he knows who he is going to hire or at least has a very good idea but can't announce it yet. Wenger stepped down and they had a new special teams guy a couple days later so things are moving behind the scenes we just don't hear about it.

And when they moved on STC so fast it made me think DC has probably been lined up a couple weeks and just not announced
