Has Connor Mayes played this year?

This really isn't that complicated. Kill isn't infatuated with redshirting players. If it's mid-season or earlier, his history has been to play the best guys. That's why we have 4 true freshman playing on the D-line. He wants to win now...

I think we are getting closer to having our upper classmen being good enough to not have true freshmen pass them up on the depth chart. Best players play and your recruits get better every year...I like where this is headed.

The thought (however fleeting) that crossed my mind is that he's already thinking about transferring (homesick?) and will use his redshirt during his transfer year. I hope it's not the case, but it's the only thing that makes sense.

Complete nonsense.

How common is it for offensive linemen to get concussions? Losing Bak is bad enough, noe possibly Bush.

Fairly common even in high school. I know my senior year our guard and tackle both suffered at least one concussion.

As much as I love the idea of being able to RS players (especially linemen). Winning football games is always more important than building for the future. We were in the middle of a dog fight, the best player should play. Even if Mayes is only slightly better than the next man up, I'm glad Kill burned his RS.

I know we've talked about the burning of the RS, but what is the scoop on Hayes? Is he hurt? I thought he played well early on and I'm not sure why he hasn't seen any additional playing time. Curious as to what the word is...
