Archie spent a couple years in the Army before joining the Gophers.
Archie was starting center fielder on the Gophers National Championship Baseball team.
(Basketball team captain Bill Davis started at first base.)
He scored 20+ pts/gm twice in the NBA, just missing two other seasons.
