That is all
Cobb tying the game in the second quarter with the 40 yard or so TD run on third and long. It silenced the large number of OSU fans in section 243–a great but brief moment. Then played another hugely physical game at Nebraska the next week & shut-up 78,000 Nebraska fans with the fumble recovery and our big tailback (name escapes me) sticking the dagger with a first down run. For one game I would have liked to have had Jerry back coaching the Rutgers g
The back to whom you were referring in the Nebraska game was Rodrick Williams. He was a solid back but got crowded out by others. Regarding the OSU game, the weather is a big part of my memory. The snow made the game feel really old -school. Also, Santoso missed a long field goal that would have kept the Gophers in range but conditions were not cooperative.Cobb tying the game in the second quarter with the 40 yard or so TD run on third and long. Same. I wouldn’t have wanted Jerry back for the Illinois or Maryland games thoughCobb tying the game in the second quarter with the 40 yard or so TD run on third and long. I believe it was Boddy-Calhoun with the strip / fumble recovery vs. Nebraska in the final minutes to save that game.... what play!Cobb tying the game in the second quarter with the 40 yard or so TD run on third and long.
