Caught this tweet Crean sent and deleted seconds after, it was obviously suppose to be a direct message:

@TomCrean: I am doing great. I have been thinking about you alot since last weekend. A whole lot. How are you doing?

Guesses on if it's to a recruit (which would be creepy) or a lady friend? Either way...unless it's to his wife (who I believe had a baby this week and he would not have not seen since last weekend) not great.

My wife and daughter are laughing at my lack of ability to use technology. Sorry purdue fans, it's not what you want to think

Sorry. That was to a new recruit. Wish I could tell you who. Sent it by mistake. Don't panic. Lol

And the winner is.....Creepy!

I guess in this instance he'd rather go the creepy route than the cheating on his wife route...but I'm not buying it. I can't imagine saying that to a recruit.

Count me as one of the majority that would not want Tom Crean "thinking about [me] alot".

Gross.

What would really be gross, dpo, is if I thought about you a lot. Yikes!!!!

I'm not a big Twitter user so this may be a dumb question but can you send a private tweet to someone that would not be visible to anybody else?

Yes, I'm sure thats what Crean was probably trying to do but must have entered it wrong or something.

@JeffRabjohns: One recruit showed me a photo of a girl an assistant coach from down south texted him w/caption: "She likes basketball players."

@JeffRabjohns: Tom Crean's tweet barely hits the radar compared to some texts recruits have shown me over the years from college coaches.

The view of this from the I4 people is great.. their examples of "crazy texts over the years" are what everyone thinks of when they think of recruiting -- "dude you're going to get ALL the girls if you go to school here!!!!". Childish and slimy? Probably. Creepy? No.

That's so extremely different from a coach saying, "I've been thinking about you alot (sic) since last weekend. A whole lot." Zero comparison in the creep factor (if you even believe Casanova Crean when he says the message was to a recruit).

I guess it all depends on where he was the previous weekend?

If Jim (and John) Harbough were your brother(s)-in-law you'd probably make the same choice

If that is actually to a recruit as he states.....very creepy.
