This is a wonderful profile.

Per Grace:

“RJ’s just kind of a fun-loving dude,” Medved said that night. “They [Spencer and senior Maximus Gizzi] just fit in so well because they’re great human beings.”

Spencer’s voice was a constant presence — on the bench during games, in warmups or inside the locker room.

“These two guys next to us [Spencer and Gizzi] work as hard, just like us. Obviously, you guys don’t see it, it’s kind of behind the scenes, but they are our emotional leaders,” senior Langston Reynolds said. “These guys really give us an extra boost. They’re the ones that are loud on the bench, talking to us in the huddles as well. They really lead us.”

Go Gophers!!

Always nice to see the role players getting some props. For obvious reason they tend to get overlooked because they are not out there on gameday but everybody on the roster has a role to play in order to help the team succeed.
