Also College Hall of Fame (joining Bobby Bell, Carl Eller and Bronko Nagurski as Gophers who are in both the College and NFL Hall of Fames). Hard to fathom these days, but Leo "The Lion" was a professional wrestler in the off-season during his NFL career. Specializing mostly in tag team events, he was a 10 time tag team champion - his partners included former gopher Vern Gagne.
 



This one is a bit more challenging in that some of the best gopher lineman in history played both ways, and Gophersports seems to have likely designated them to one position only.

Tom Brown, Carl Eller, Bobby Bell, Leo Nomellini, Dick Wildung, Ed Widseth, and Clayton Tonnemaker are all in the College Football Hall of Fame and all of them played both ways for Minnesota.

Minnesota had some of the coolest athletes back then. All the wrestlers, great football, great baseball, great hockey (from high school through college, through pros, including Olympics). I wish I could have lived through some of those years. Born in '72, I didn't pay attention to the Miracle on Ice, or how special the entire past was. Thanks for posting this.
