Gophersports announcement about Gophers/Aggies Game Coverage:

Why? You are assuming my anger is just at the U. The Big Ten and BTN are just as much to blame and I was not leaving them out.

If BTN offered Aggievision $200 million would it be on local TV? The answer is yes......it's a matter of price.

That's part of the frustration. "The U makes as announcement".........yea right-you can get it online. Why does the U or BTN never address the main issue publicly? It's as if they think if they say nothing no one will notice.

Teague was on the radio a couple times last Thursday, including the pre-game show, talking about how they "could only push the BTN so far" when it came to televising the NMSU game. Don't know what was happening behind the scene, only took it to mean that the BTN had a big say in whether or not the game was going to be shown in Minnesota.

BTN2GO has crashed. There is a fifteen minute wait for on call help. You can also watch BTN Live, but it is the Hoosiers game that is scheduled on that time slot. This s#cks if BTN2GO is still down by the Gophs/Aggies gametime.

It would be the perfect ending to this whole fiasco, though.

Similar to some of the NC basketball games in the past couple of years. Not dependable. How many BT football games are on BTN2GO this year? One?

What would you like the U to do about it? Home teams own the TV rights. The U doesn't have much of a choice. They can't force a local channel to pick up the game. That decision is made by the channel. If you want to complain about college football TV contracts then I would agree with you, but the U's hands are tied in this circumstance.

Schedule exciting enough opponents to make the game sexy enough that BTN wants to televise it.

I waited and waited and waited. I finally got through to Comcast. The person that responded is actually in the Philippines. Lord help us if they are outsourcing our sports network too.

She has escalated the ticket to high priority.

When I told her they better fix it in 4-1/2 hours, it sounded like there are other complaints. I told her don't worry about the Iowa fans. It is the Gophers that are the important one. She doesn't understand American Football, I had to explain that it is like Rugby and she doesn't know that either.

Haha, great work.

So ...

Does anyone know a local establishment showing the game?

Any bar worth its salt should have it. Any place with a subscription to the DTV sports package will have it. If they don't have the sports package, they ain't serious about sports.

I think this has already been covered but for the DirectTV subscribers out there you can call them and add their sports package for $12.95 and then cancel it after a month if desired. The game will be HD on channel 695-1 and DirectTV assured me the game will be shown locally.

+1. And it's probably worth it to them to add the sports package for a month if only just a few customers request it and show up to eat/drink at their establishment for the Gopher game.

Ensure all games are televised in MN. Simple.

Not too much to ask.

Direct TV upgraded ours to a "sports Package"for free due to being a long time customer since 2003. Our household is set for the evening.

This is a major failure on the part of Teague and the U. Why don't they negotiate the TV rights in with the game right to play these schools. It is not like we want to prevent the local NM network from broadcasting the game in their area and it will not harm them to have it broadcast in Minnesota. It is embarrassing that the U is the only school that can't even get their games on TV!!! It is also an embarrassment that BTN doesn't broadcast the game. If is was a Michigan or Ohio State game it would be on TV. It is a joke, we got better TV coverage when we had our game with the local cable station.

I did not surf through this thread, hopefully someone can help. I downloaded BTN2GO on both my iPhone and iPad but I can't get the app to save and allow me to select my TV provider (Comcast) It allows me to enter my zip and select Comcast from a list of available providers, but when I go back to try to watch something Comcast is not listed as an available provider. Help!

Sports bars seem to be no-go. I called Champps and B Dubs in my neck of the woods and neither are carrying the game. This is going to be a sh+t storm. F*ck you, Norwood, from our experiences the first two games of this year he's worse than Maturi. Can only push BTN so far.....

BTN2Go is down currently :(

+ 1,000,000

This is a total joke.

It is not an embarrassment. It is big business. The NFL and the Wilf brothers are just doing what comes naturally to ensure that Golden Gopher football is totally marginalized and rendered irrelevant. By engineering UNC Tarheels to be descheduled and rescheduling a game in the desert that only few can or will watch, it further degrades our college football program toward irrelevancy. It is no accident that btn2go.com is dead. It will miraculously resurrect from the dead after the game is over. Golden Gopher Football 0 - Organized Crime 49. Nothing has changed since the syndicate handed the state of Minnesota over to the NFL and the state of Michigan over to the University of Michigan (Detroit's Purple Gang), Michigan State University, and the Big Ten at the Apalachin Conference on 14 November 1957. The deal was sealed by forcing the Detroit Lions to trade away Bobby Layne. This marked the decline of the Detroit Lions and the decline of Minnesota Golden Gopher football soon followed after the Vikings franchise was installed in the Twin Cities.

Jesus...you people really cannot let the UNC thing go. I'd still rather listen to us beat New Mexico State than watch us lose to UNC. This is all fine as long as btn2go doesn't take a dump.

If you are convinced we'd lose to North Carolina, you are part of the problem. And that is coming from me, someone that hasn't been that bent out of shape over the opponent switch.

Good lord, I hope you never have to face real adversity in your life.

Post your address and ill mail you ten bucks so you can sign up for Aggies Vision. Problem solved.

No kidding. I'll chip in a couple bucks for you whiners too. I realize this is frustrating, but if you're this desperate, there ARE options out there.

Yup - I am afraid to give this one out because I don't want to listen to all this complaining there but have you ever thought about going to a sports bar?
