Gophers will play in 4-team Charleston Classic

Best news of the day! I'm a Charleston Gopher these days and have gone to the tournament before. The arena is small, but great seats are nearly always available. Charleston is a fun - if expensive - town to visit. Hope to see a bunch of Gophers here!
I feel like my entire life has been a lie. “Scottsdale Gopher”… wait do I even go to Drake anymore?!?

Are there still rules for these early season tournaments that you can only play in them so often? Or can you play in one every year if you want?

Northwestern and Oklahoma State reportedly will play a non-conference game in Oklahoma City, so presumably that would put them in opposite tournaments in Charleston.

So safe assumption now would be the Gophers paired with Oklahoma State (and two others) and Northwestern paired with Utah (and two others).

Ironically we've played non conference games with a few of these teams in recent years (Okie St, Utah, Va Tech)

Last year non-conference schedule was released July 21.

Big Ten schedule was released Sept. 18.
Regarding non-con, is that accurate? I may be misremembering, but didn't we schedule Gardner Webb super late? Like a month before the season?

I'm really hoping we schedule some real games beyond the Charleston tourney. Play a road game if you have to!
