Gophers will play #1 seed UCLA in the Sweet 16 at 6:30pm on Friday night.

I believe that 6:30 pm time is Pacific time, which would be 8:30 pm Central time.

Gonna be an interesting game Friday. UCLA can beat you in so many ways, 3/4 quart, 1/2 quart offense, dribble drives, pick and role, shoots the three well and they can press, or trap. They have so many weapons. It's the most complete and dangerous team we played all year. Hopefully we can catch them on some back cut screens. I feel like if we pressure Kneepkins and can trap her when she handles the ball, will be able to have an athletic advantage. Cannot let them run and beat us in transition like the January game , they got a lot of clean threes pressing the ball in transition. Have to find a way to slow Kiiki Rice, I think Glenn and Mckinney will both be key on trying to slow Rice. I'm sure coach P will have a great game plan. If the Gophers are agressive they maybe can hang with and have at least a chance against the Bruins, at least I hope. January game doesn't mean anything now in this moment. , Friday it is zero to zero at tip-off and the Gophers WBB team get's a chance to slay the dragon.

Woulda been nice to hear Parker give a big Skiumah on the fan this morning.

We open as 19.5 point underdogs- no surprise. Would love 2 c them get hot from 3, limit the TO’s n contain their O. Those r big asks but I hope they have fun make it a competitive game. Go Gophers !

I'm wondering if UCLA might be able to beat some of the lower tier WNBA teams. Even if not, they are very very good, with a roster full of future pro players. That being said, as a Gopher fan, I remind myself that us paper prognosticators are sometimes wrong and there is a reason they still play the games. This is an opportunity for the Gophers to become legendary. Go, Gophers!

What I love is that this is a team that is capable of beating UCLA. But everything has to line up. Have to be agressive, not fall behind, and force the Bruins to make mistakes and turnovers.

Total solar eclipse's in US are infrequent, but they do happen... when everything lines up.

I'm hearing rumors about centers (Tonga, Hart) in boots. Tell me I dreamt that!

Tonga was in a boot before the weekend games. Probably all precautionary
I don't think the boot was precautionary, but I'm also not (that) worried about her ability to play through it tomorrow.

Knowing she was in a boot at the Selection Sunday event, Tonga seemed to aggravate an injury in the Ole Miss game. During the third quarter I saw her wincing and limping a bit after grabbing at her foot/ankle, then when she subbed out for the last time she immediately went to the athletic trainer to be looked at. Sophie subbed in for her late in the third quarter and played the entire fourth.

Hey, remember when Villanova beaten Georgetown in "the Perfect Game" in 1985 to win it all. They shot 78.6% from the field to beat Patrick Ewing's Hoyas by a score of 66-64.

There was a photo of Hart in a boot yesterday on social media as they were leaving for California but I haven't seen an injury report.

Someone posted a picture on twitter and both seem to be practicing. So, yes, looks to be precautionary.

Yep. I'm sure there are sprains all the time. Especially in a physical game like against Ole Miss. I agree its probably precautionary. I mean Hart has played with a leg brace all year, so.

Sweet 16 in less than 3 years.
Let's go. Coach P and Lady Gophers!

To Coach P's credit, she has a strength in finding different ways to matchup with different teams. Betts is good and hard to stop but it is making sure the team doesn't forget about all the other shooters on the floor for UCLA. Watching UCLA a bit, their others shooters(spacers on the floor) are more dangerous from the outside then allowing Betts to get her scores inside. Too often teams collapse and pay for it. Those are 2's for Betts and not 3's. With that said wouldn't be surprise to see Holloway with her length and quickness step in to help for few minutes. If nothing else she has 5 fouls to give and hopefully missed FT's good be help with 1 or 0 points on few occasions down the floor. Hope to see the guards not collapsing too much to leave the open outside shots. Our offense is going to have to be efficient and moving the ball to get shots. They play the games for a reason! Rah!
