Looked and see all the B1G teams except Northwestern and UCLA are 1-0.

Probably need to see the results of Week 4 to see who's got the mo and who does not.

Still though very glad the Gophers are not on that first week short list. Been there too many times already in the modern era.

I think this was one of those early season games where the Gophers had a better game statistically than they appeared to be having while one was watching the game unfold. True, their ability to put the ball in the end zone looked weaker than we hoped but they had 443 yards Total Offense (6th in the conference after one game) and 151 yards Total Defense (2nd in the conference).

Last year's team equaled the 443 offensive yard total once (against Maryland) but never surpassed that amount. Last year's team fell below the 151 Defensive Yards total once (against Rhode Island). Another bright spot is that our kicker was 3 for 3 in field goal attempts while Kesich made only 1 of 3 in last year's opener (which lost us the game). Supposedly Buffalo returned a good number of starters on defense so maybe the 443 yard Total Offense total in the opener is a reason to be optimistic.
