Gophers Split at Penn State

Minnesota continued last night’s strong third period play (yes OT sucked) and turned it into a 60 minute effort for a 7-1 win against Penn State. The Gophers netted three shorthand goals (two by Fasching and one by Kloos). Hudson, who missed a couple of right side breaks last night, didn’t miss on the right side today. Kloos’s shorty was into an empty net when PSU gambled in the third period. Earlier in the third, Littieri scored a similarly easy goal when a Penn State player fed him the puck right in front of the PSU goal.
