You guy off his last sentence where he said “and some guy promised me 75k”
We knowBut in all seriousness, did anyone ask if DTA gave him an extra deal just for this game?
Only one of two things can be true:
- there never was any extra money
OR
- they did offer him an extra deal to help “convince” him (that does not imply any type of extortion or ransom on CK’s end, mind you, that is an allegation above and beyond), but have realized this could look really bad so have gone radio silence on it instead of pimping it, and have asked CK to be silent on it too.
Obviously you can believe what you want to believe. I know I’ve selected which of the above two I am going to believe.
(Granted, Burns’ original reply on GI message board as referenced in the link should be a pretty strong clue)
That's a guy with the glow of "Thank you PJ for getting me out of this."
I assumed since you can read and stuffI'm old enough to remember when it was the norm for a graduating senior to suit up for his team's bowl game. Even as a backup.
Made me think of Mark Mauer. Not sure if he played in their bowl game in 81' though.I'm old enough to remember when it was the norm for a graduating senior to suit up for his team's bowl game. Even as a backup.
Apparently the "A+ source" that person posted was not true. per Greder:
Wish, not real
A rumor circulated last week that Gophers quarterback Cole Kramer was receiving $30,000 in name, image and likeness (NIL) money to return for the Gophers’ appearance in the Quick Lane Bowl on Dec. 26.
“That’s not true,” Kramer said Monday. “It’s not accurate information as much as I would love for that to be true.”
Kramer will start against Bowling Green after 2023 starter Athan Kaliakmanis and third-stringer Drew Viotto entered the NCAA transfer portal earlier this month.
Esko safety Koi Perich making Gophers wait, but encouraging sign surfaces
Minnesota had two other high school recruits exit the 2024 class last week.www.twincities.com
Go Gophers!!
I know we are all wired to by cynical....some way more than others.....but not sure why it is so tough for some people here to believe that he would want to play and wouldn't need to be bribed to come back.Apparently the "A+ source" that person posted was not true. per Greder:

I posted the same rumor on the other thread well ahead of Doogie's story. There was buzz about the situation on campus 100%.But, you gotta remember this is just a rumor, from the internet, being disputed by people posting on the internet. So it must be true…..wait a minute…..something is true, but it’s only true if it’s on the real news….oh nevermind.
Glad you’re going to do that. He would be devastated if you thought he was lyingI’ll take him at his word and be happy and encouraged.
I don’t believe that anyone believes anything on the internet. I can prove it, I read it on a web page. The fact that anyone ever believed it says a lot. Ya'll just believe anything on the internet?
$30,001I'm guessing he got something, how much is anybody's guess. He said it wasn't "accurate". He was asked if he got $30,000, he wasn't asked if he's being paid to stick around. Maybe he got 5k, maybe he got 20k.

Why doesn't your son transfer then?SJU coach is begging his 6th year QB to comeback and play another year. He is attempting to put a NIL deal together for their 180 pound QB, who has a bad shoulder. He ended their season last year with a 4 interception game in the first round. He lost to the Gusty this year with a game ending interception on the 10 yard line. They have 10 QB's on the roster, can you saw Moral killer.
Kramer has denied it. I believe him over an anonymous, click bait rumor.
The NFL is paid by the teams...NIL is not. (in theory) Your analogy sucks.Just like the NFL. No one knows what anyone makes or any terms
But we do know exactly how much they get paid in their salary deals, as was my point. We rarely know what athletes get paid in endorsements.
