Will just add that look at who Iowa and Wisconsin have on their schedules. Pretty easy to have good D stats when you are playing the somewhat easier lot they have thus far

The offense played great. The entire unit played very well. Really punting and punt return teams were the biggest weakness (and the last 20 of play calling).

Obviously we had injury problems earlier (still do now, but getting healthier) and we're playing with a bit more emotion, but what the heck happened? We went from not being able to do anything offensively against Kent St, Colorado State, and Northwestern to moving the ball up and down the field against the #1 D in the country. I'd expect we'd improve as the season goes on, but look like an entirely different offense. Leidner went from looking like he'd have trouble starting in the NSIC to looking like a very good Big Ten QB. I want to see us continue this trend for another couple of games, but the turnaround has been remarkable so far.

Just to mention a few players on offense that really stepped up:
1. KJ Maye made some clutch catches including a 3rd down conversion and that amazing 4th down catch. Gonna miss this guy next year.
2. Lingen had a career game.
3. Wolitarsky with a great catch to almost win the game.
4. Stills with his first big game.
5. The freshman running backs ran hard and fought for every yard.
6. Leidner with some great throws and runs. He doesn't get rattled late in tight games and he made back shoulder throws when the coverage was good.
