Gophers players make unified statement on Twitter: #WeHadEnough

WAIT! Tell the MN United not to build their stadium. Once we fold the football team, the United can be the sole tenant of TCF.

Go Gophers!!

#IHaveHadEnough 12 year season ticket holder and strong supporter of the U of M. My money isn't going to go toward this sort of thing. I figured the day would eventually come. Call me what you want, I'm using the funds to take a yearly family vacation.

I am very sad and disappointed at what has happened to my Alma mater.

Coaches and administrators cannot compell the team to play in the Holiday bowl.

No. He's not. And if Koil and Khaller don't take some action it's going to get nasty.

The only way they pull anything off is if the entire team decides to boycott playing in the Holiday bowl. The only thing the University understands is "Money".

They the University will still get their portion of the Big 10 revenue pool, but if the Gophers players refused to play in the game, and advising the University they are boycotting the game this would take about 80 % of the team to commit to not going in order to force a forfeit. Would be a huge black eye for the University and they would end up voiding the scholarships as the major threat, but for everyone to say were not playing in the Holiday bowl, that would really force Coyle and the President's hand. Boycotting the bowl game really is the only tool they have to force a hearing on this situation. Bad PR for the University if everyone say's we are not going to San Diego.

Actually I don't know if that was McCrary himself in the video, I think he was just sharing and posting it. I don't think he'd be wearing a T-shirt and sunglasses in December here. He'd also to have gotten a haircut very recently.

If Sawvel (and Claeys) are really sure that one of the kids wasn't even in the building at the time of this incident and they know the details to know that the kid wasn't involved in harassing the girl after the incident, then they should be fighting this tooth and nail on that kid's behalf. If they don't fight for their players that are on the wrong end of this for no reason they will lose the whole team, and probably future recruits who won't want to play for a coach that will not be in their corner when the going gets tough.

How do U know they're not fighting it? It would be stupid for a U employee to fight this in the paper

You're skipping past the low hanging fruit that #WeHadEnough by itself makes no sense, should be #We'veHadEnough or #WeHaveHadEnough

#WeHadEnough should be the hash tag to a twitter response when someone asks if you ran out of beer at the tailgate.

You " grammar Nazi's" really need to stuff it. We're not drafting a resume here, or writing a novel to be critiqued by a book publisher.

So there is nothing wrong with sounding like and uneducated buffoon when representing an educational institution?

Are we really complaining about Twitter hashtags not having correct grammar and spelling? Seriously.

I actually thought about this as well. I think it would be great if they told the administration to shove it.
My thoughts exactly. Sit out until all innocent are reinstated and their names cleared.

Oh stewardess, I speak Jive.

It's African American Vernacular English. It's how black people often speak to one another. They sometimes omit the helping verb. For instance, they might say, "He runnin' to the store," instead of "He is running to the store." In this case they said "We had enough," but "have had" is kind of implied. I don't think using colloquial language in a tweet on a personal social media account is embarrassing the university.

It is quite funny reading through the forum, and seeing people get worked up over grammar in a tweet. Damn, I finna look at the U completely different now
