Can someone explain why NCAT? The MEAC hasn't won a FCS playoff game in a long time. Close to his family?

Yeah, it is hard to say. NC A&T is a solid program. He's from Georgia so he could have family in the area. Could be a coach he knows or likes. Could be academic related.

I believe that, NAIA schools only count years you played, there is no clock per se. If Jones didn't play elsewhere he could have 2 maybe 3 years of NAIA eligibility.

I believe that is right -- I learned about that when Jeff Jones went to Waldorf down in Iowa to play

I can't imagine almost being ready for your ten year high school reunion and still telling people that you're gonna give this college football thing a try, as you sit there and compete against kids that might not have even started playing football when you graduated high school.
