We beat Nebraska, and lost to Wisconsin by 10. Wisconsin beat Nebraska by 35.

Writers can be stupid sometimes.

Pisses me off. Both BTN and ESPN have us ahead of them in the conference power rankings.

Don't get to pissed. Baylor is probably feeling a lot worse. Gophers win that bowl game and they're ranked at season's end for the first time since they finished 17th in 2003. 9-4 record, 5-3 in the Big Ten, 6-4 against BCS/Big 5 and finishing the season in the Top 25?

That would be a very, very good year indeed.

The AP poll is all about record and geography now. Certain regions have to be well-represented because the writers cover sports there. Records are disproportionately influential, because the writers do not follow the game on a national level.

The AP poll is not worth publishing any longer. The CFP selection committee has rendered the poll irrelevant.
