This game scares me. The Gophers knew they could blitz Jeff George, Jr. with impunity because of the lock-down ability of our secondary on the pedestrian Illinois receivers. Purdue brings a much more experienced quarterback with better receivers and is likely going to face a diminished Gopher secondary. Having to rely on pressure exclusively from the front four is a worrisome prospect. Minnesota needed 39 points to win as a big favorite the last time Purdue came to town. This could be a reprise of that game.
