Gophers Open +22.5

Defense hasn't gotten a turnover in a month. That's gotta change if they want to have any chance of winning.
Yep, we would have to win the turnover battle by three or so and we would have to break two or 3 long TD plays. Hopeful that we don’t exercise the definition of insanity and just try to do the same old thing because that just breeds into 3 1/2 hours that suck to watch. Their DL versus our OL is probably the biggest mis match we have faced all year from a position group perspective so the same old same old just isn’t gonna work.

They’ve only scored 31+ against one big ten opponent and 30-10 wouldn’t cover.

Seems low to me too. But could easily end up a 28-10 or 35-14 game
Two.

Oregon 56 - Rutgers 10
Oregon 34 - Northwestern 14.

Our defense is definitely better than Rutgers' and statiscally similar to Northwestern. Our offense is also very similar statistically to Northwestern's.

I think I meant to type 35+ not 31+

I agree with your assessment.
The Oregon northwestern score repeated would be a gopher cover.

Interesting numbers when it comes to the running game. Essentially we have average talent and a horrible OL/scheme. Oregon has elite talent and OL/scheme. The defense will have to bring their A+ game to keep this close.

When our HC spends an entire press conference gushing g about how great the opponent is, sounding as if he’s in surrender and hide mode, the Gophs have, unsurprisingly, performed pretty poorly. It’s as if the team picks up on his attitude. I guarantee you that Iowa didn’t go into their game in worship mode of Lanning and the Ducks. I hope behind the scenes PJ has expressed a far more scrappy and less subservient approach to this challenge, Go Gophers!

Dang, that's a monster spread and embarrassing. Though it's probably about right on the money.

Current line. It was +1100 yesterday on the moneyline so we've got that going for us, which is nice

think the gophers cover if we don't turn it over out the gate. Think Oregon will be fine pounding the rock on us and will try shorten the game with their health and that its a just win and you make the playoff with the addition its a short week and that we don't have the talent to beat them unless they fuck it up.
the line being 25 seems quite odd to me given oregon has beaten one BT team by more than that and it was a vintage Kaliakmanis game.
Guess maybe the thinking is we won't be able to throw on them and will turn it over and that we let Iowa fucking demolish us, but it feels more like a game never in doubt we lose by 20 to 24 points kind of game depending on if we score late against backups and the weather
