Gophers Jack Wilson signs with the Colts.

Hmmm, maybe he should have played football for the Gophers last year instead.

He played some football games for WSU. Was he a lineman?

With that career I imagine the Colts outbid 7 or 8 teams for him.
(Actually, good for him. Hope he ends up with some cash and no injuries.)

Me too. Want the best for him. But this can only add to his resume. I wish I could say " I had a cup of coffee with the NFL".

I though this was posted in the wrong forum until I read the comments. At first I thought what Jack Wilson are they talking about?

I’m betting they gave him the “good citizen and human being “ contract. At that fringe level, you don’t take risks on behavior. I know a doctor who paid for most of medical school on a few years of practice squad salary. Might have suited up in the NFL a couple times.

This is an odd signing. He hasn't played football for a few years and when he did he didn't play a lot. Maybe they see him as a potential designated FG block kicks guy or something.

Maybe if he committed in the spring so he could practice. But why now? I guess because he is just a big dude, so why not give him a chance. Low risk.
