I don't understand how they came up with their seeding. We're a 5 and a team like Kansas State is a 6?

Technically only the top 4 are seeded but I don't think they just draw the rest out of a hat?

Sure, but not us. Looks like we're a 5th seed. I guess we would host a game if #8 in the bracket beats #1. That's not that unusual of an occurrence over the last 11 or so NITs.

That probably makes the most sense. Us vs. Butler is a more "regional" matchup as opposed to playing a #1 or #2 seed like Nova or Wake.
