per the U of MN. I think the last update was on Monday from Joe C, so I wanted to get you a more current update. Looks like a lot of GopherHolers are buying these tickets up!

Good stuff. Hopefully the sales continue at or near this pace.

Half way home to destroying the myth that Gopher fans don't travel. Sell out our 9,000 ticket allotment and it'll be a new era when it comes to Bowl destinations.

And from another post in the forum it sounds like they might be even well ahead of this 4500 number as of late this afternoon.

This is the most recent number that has been released. I got this text less than an hour ago at 3:17pm.

Marcus said it was 3800 late yesterday afternoon, so looks like there's still some good momentum!

I will be very surprised if we sell all 9000 tickets but it is certainly looking like we will come in with a nice number and one that should prove our fans will travel if the game is decent. Hopefully our fans will really make their presence felt down in Orlando leading up to the game. Really wishing I was in a position to make the trip with my family but just isn't doable this year.

In theory this matters not given the B1G's new policy where it supposedly picks the teams based on their records, not the bowls preference.

Correct. However, I think many of us know of people who boast about their teams' traveling well and, in some ways are hoping to prove they are not as special as they think. I've told these people that if we ever got a January Bowl game, we would too. So, selfishly and letting ego into it, I would love to prove thathat they aren't the only fanbase that travels. I still believe in we will have 10k+ factoring in snowbirds, transplants, and alumni living in the area.

Visited the Missouri Tigers ticket site to see if I could figure out how their sales are going in comparison. Looks like the have no tickets available at field level, are still selling plaza level P11 thru P15, and tons of 200 level (upper deck) seats available, as I'm sure we do. Looks like we're holding our own against them.

If anyone can find out where they're at for ticket sales, I'd really like to know for a comparison.

Thanks!

Here's the latest for us:

Indoor Club: Max 17 seats together
Open Air Club: SOLD OUT
Field Level Midfield: SOLD OUT
Field Level Red Zone: SOLD OUT
Field Level Corner: SOLD OUT
Plaza Level Red Zone: Single seats only
Plaza Level Goal: SOLD OUT
Plaza Level Corner: Max 24 seats together
All Terrace Levels: Tickets available

My guess is that Plaza Level Red Zone sells out in the next couple hours and Plaza Level Corner sells out by the end of the week. Indoor Club will move slower but will sell out by early next week, leaving just the terrace (upper deck) levels to sell. Hopefully students will take a chunk of those.

Mizzou still has groups of up to 10 tickets available in their Plaza Level Red Zone. My guess is we're ahead of their pace thus far (I could be wrong).
